It was in 1996 when BMW first launched its BMW F650 in India in collaboration with Hero Motors. That time very few bikes were sold in the Indian market because of its high price range of Rs, 5 lakhs. Because of very less buyers BMW and Hero decided to sell these bikes in discounted rate of more than 60%. After that the luxurious sports bikes era took a while to get a relaunch in India.

BMW Motorrad has just launched the BMW F659 GS on-off road touring motorcycle in India again at a mind boggling price of Rs. 9.99 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). This BMW Beauty is equipped with parallel twin four stroke engine with six speed transmission, which delivers torque to rear wheel through chain drive.

Aimed at hard core touring enthusiasts BMW also has excellent safety features like ABS and superb suspension with telescopic layout up front with a adjustable monoshock at rear.
