Petrol prices vary from state to state and city to city in India. Many factors affect the end petrol price like state taxes as well as import locations. We have placed the petrol prices on the Map to enable easy viewing and comparison of fuel prices. These prices changes regularly due to various factors like political, Government regulations, supply and demand, crude oil, natural disasters, etc.

Petrol Price in India



On 2nd April 2012, petrol price was cut by 85 Paise per litre. It was the second cutback in prices in the past two weeks. The price cut was due to fall in international oil prices. After including VAT, the reduction in petrol price in Delhi comes to Rs.1.02 per litre. Petrol will now cost Rs.67.29 per litre. Petrol price in Mumbai will cost Rs.74.14 per litre; in Kolkata it will cost Rs.74.72 and in Chennai it will cost Rs.70.34 a litre. Indian Oil Corp (IOC) announced the reduction as international prices of petrol have declined and the Rupee-US dollar exchange rate has also marginally declined.
