Hindustan Motors (HM) is one of India's pioneer automobile manufacturers, established in 1942 by B.M. Birla. HM manufactured the legendary Ambassador car, often dubbed the "King of Indian Roads".

The Ambassador & Contessa Legacy

Based on the Morris Oxford Series III, the Ambassador remained in production for over five decades and served as the official vehicle for Indian politicians, government dignitaries, and taxi fleets. The HM Contessa was India's original muscle car during the 1980s and 90s.
